Fostering Independence, Creativity and Discipline in Young Musicians

This workshop will use the principals laid out in The Piano Workbook: A Resource and Guide for Students in Ten Levels to demonstrate an integrated approach to motivate students and help structure home practise time. The ideas have proven useful for experienced teachers but pedagogy students and new teachers have been especially enthusiastic. Among other topics, concepts will address goal setting, active versus passive learning and a vareity of sight and ear training drills and exercises.
